Hayley to Carter in Private Screening



Hayley Woods, played by Ariel Mortman, is a member of The Ravens and one of the main characters in Greenhouse Academy.

Appearance

Hayley is an American teenage girl, with brown eyes, pale skin and long dark brown hair. Throughout the show she is seen wearing a variety of different outfits, including her casual black ack and t-shirt motif, Raven's gear and her "Back to the Future" themed dress as seen in L.D.R and Great Scott.

Personality

Hayley is shown to be very sarcastic at times and she likes to tease her brother from time to time. She's also known to be very protective and outspoken as shown when she speaks out towards Louis, for not agreeing with his decision to not pass Alex Woods on his entry exam, thanks to Daniel Hayward’s interference. She is known to be selfless and caring.

History

Season 1

GHA-S1E01-17

Alex and Hayley outside the Greenhouse

Pilot

Hayley makes her first appearance in the season 1 opener of Greenhouse Academy; where's she seen bidding farewell to her mother; Ryan Woods as she heads off for her shuttle-launch, only to see her mother's shuttle explode before her eyes, alongside her family later on a televised news broadcast. Hayley follows after her brother; Alex Woods outside, upon their mother's death. 8 months later, Hayley is hanging out with her friends; Meredith and Owen, as she rocks out on a tennis racket.

After Alex Woods accidentally damages her record player, with his basketball, she rages at him, before he manages to shout her down. The next morning, she helps drive Alex to the Greenhouse Academy after he couldn't get their father to drive him. While at the school, Hayley teases her little brother, before standing up for him against Daniel Hayward and Parker Grant. She also confronts both Brooke Osmond and Sophie Cardona, who try to defend the Greenhouse, after Hayley tells a tearful applicant that it wasn't worth auditioning for the school. After her brother finishes his written exam, she gives him a pep-talk for his physical, before sending him off. After this she cheers her brother on, while he's playing against Daniel Hayward later in his test and is then forced to defend him after Daniel Hayward begins playing mind-games with him.

After this Hayley, runs after her brother, who charged out of the audition after being told off for defending himself against Daniel. She tries to get her brother to go back, just as Louis Osmond rocks, offering both her and Alex a place at the Greenhouse. After taking time to think, she takes I the written exam, alongside Jackie and passes in time to attend the Greenhouse opening ceremony.

The Opening Challenge

Hayley tries to get in contact with her brother Alex, who is busy playing against his fellow Eagles in an arm-wrestling match. After unsuccessfully trying to call him through her Louie, she heads to the Eagles dormitory, to talk to Alex face-to-face, only to be blocked by Brooke, who turns out to be the daughter of the headmaster; Louis Osmond. In the morning she takes part in the first challenge of the school year, as a part of the Ravens team. Throughout the challenge she just sits down reading her book, while the other Ravens busily dig for keys. Eventually ,Hayley realizes something about the riddle Louis had given them, taking Leo into the academy's foyer, where they discover the key in a plant pot. When Alex arrives in the foyer too, she tries to taunt him, by offering him the key, to which he declines.

Breaking and Entering

Hayley is seen eating her lunch, alongside Leo, Emma, Jackie and Max in the Greenhouse cafeteria. Later Hayley is listening to her music, in the Ravens dormitory just as Leo rocks up, telling her to get up as he had something to show her, to which she complies. Leo then shows her his music room, where he helps her strum away on the guitar. In the cafeteria ,she meets with her brother, Alex who apologizes about letting his anger out on her earlier, to L which she says it wasn't his fault, as she should of minded her own business. Alex then falsely gives her a hug, in an attempt to grab her louie. Later in the episode, Hayley discovers her Louie doesn't work, before then offering to take a lie-detector test the next morning, to defend her friend Jackie.

Private Screening

Hayley is thanked by Jackie for helping her out with the lie-detector test, before getting told by Leo that the Louie she was currently carrying was a fake, then realizing that her brother had tricked her. Haley then heads to the beach to confront her brother; Alex, which makes her want to leave, packing her bags later that night and handing Louis a letter meant for Alex, just as she arrived at the Eagles dormitory. Later when she arrived back at home she expressed concern over her father's current condition, seeing him distressed over her mother's death, before then meeting up with her friends; Owen and Meredith. In the same episode, Hayley scolds her father over his lack of care for both the house and his kids, with Leo then later appearing at the house to come and return her to the Greenhouse.

GHA-S1E05-95

Black Smoke

Hayley makes her long awaited return to the Greenhouse, before then listening to her fellow Ravens, during class about what made Woody a good leader. Later Hayley follows after Leo to the cafeteria and asks him why he'd want to help the Eagles. Hayley then takes Leo to his music room, then watching Leo strum away on his guitar, before the two end-up kissing for the first time.

Captain Material

After their kiss in the previous episode, Hayley confronts Leo when he begins to act weird around her after their kiss. Later she takes part in a gym class with her fellow Ravens, jogging round the Eagles basketball court, before getting an alert on Sophie's blog about Daniel no longer being the Eagles captain. After charging off, Hayley is sitting on the bench outside, just as Leo arrives on the scene. Hayley expresses that she was angry about Leo's obsession with Daniel, before she asks why he was messing with her mind, before then telling him to forget about the kiss, as she wasn't even meant to be at the school. Hayley then tells Leo to head off, before he kisses her and complies.

Swimming Lessons

Hayley takes part in a decision-making class, taught by Suzanne Gill, alongside her fellow Ravens. Later in the class, Hayley makes fun of Leo's idea to flip a coin in annoyance, before she then asks what gave him the choice to decide who would live or die in the model train-set. Later, when Leo expresses that they'd need to take a compromise in the decision-making situation, Hayley expresses that there wasn't a compromise, as he tries to say that he wasn't avoiding anything, before Hayley tells him that he was the captain and that he'd need to make a choice, with someone always getting hurt in the end, before then explaining that if she was the leader, she wouldn't make a compromise and that her father was an FBI agent, who sacrifice himself for the greater good, as it was his job to do so, then storming off.

Hayley soon meets with her brother; Alex in the meteorite crater, as she explains that it had been forever since they had been at the crater, asking when they had their picnic there. Alex then reminds her that it was when he was 5, before Hayley realizes that that was when the two of them were told about the meteor by their mother; Ryan. The two of them then sit down, as Alex says that all he was doing at that point was "dirty politics" for the Eagles captain elections, with Alex then explaining the situation. In response Hayley then tells him it was a moral dilemma, before bringing her precision decision-making task into it, with Alex then revealing that he wanted to vote for Sophie, but also didn't want to betray Parker and Daniel, with Hayley then telling him that he needed to be true to himself. Alex then heads off, before Hayley reveals that she wished she could elect a new captain.

Confused Alex asks her what was going on, with Hayley then expressing her disbelief at the fact that she was gossiping with her little brother. Hayley then reveals that she and Leo had kissed, but that now Leo was dissing her. Alex then apologizes for stealing her Louie, before she apologizes for not letting him fight his own battles, before beckoning Alex off. In the Ravens dormitory, Jason arrives with two passes, handing them to Leo and Hayley, explaining that they had been chosen to attend NASA's satellite launch the next day, with Hayley then asking whether it was just the two of them, before Jason tells her it was the three of them, before heading off.

The Outsider

Hayley is seen waiting alongside Leo for Jason to take then down to the NASA space agency for the big satellite launch, with Hayley remaining silent while Leo tries to talk to her, just as Jackie arrives with a snack for the trip, with Emma then arriving and expressing that they had been so lucky to go on the trip, with Hayley then offering Emma Alex's ticket as he'd refused to go on the trip, but Jason says no as Hayley was categorized as the guest of honor, due to her mother's legacy. Later at the NASA complex, Hayley meets with Brandon Thomas, telling her that she looked a lot like her mother, just as Jason and Leo introduce themselves. Brandon then asks how Hayley's father was, with Hayley assuring him that he was fine. Later that day, Hayley is feeling uncomfortable, while Brandon is making his speech, talking about Hayley's mother; Ryan.

After the speech, Hayley is accompanied by Leo, sitting down on a nearby seat, watching the launch of the satellite, with Leo comforting her as the satellite launch occurs. After the launch, Leo apologizes for being a jerk to her, before Leo leans into a kiss with her. Hayley, alongside Leo then head back to the car and meet up with Emma and Max as they arrive back at the Greenhouse grounds. Later in the dormitory, Leo gives Hayley some music to listen to, just as a news report of the satellite losing connection appears.

Steph

Hayley is seen participating in a rock-climbing team building activity with her fellow Ravens. After wearing the blindfold, Leo guides her through the wall, much to Hayley's dismay. After Hayley continuously tells him that he sucks at coordination, she finally makes it to the top of the wall.

Guilt Free Cupcakes

Hayley and her fellow Ravens have a cupcake sale to raise money for underprivileged kids to go to STEM college. At first, she mocks Louis, saying that the idea is dumb but then agrees to host the bake sale. After Leo explains that he doesn't want to clean up another mess, Hayley mocks him by saying that they aren't invading Russia and that anyone can host a bake sale. Hayley comes up with an idea to let the people taste the cupcakes and then pay whatever they felt was right. However, the idea doesn't go as planned and they end up losing to the Eagles. Louis then tells the kids that they should put on a fashion show so that they can match the money that they raised, which the students do. Hayley and Leo walk down the "runway" together dressed like rockers.

GHA-S1E11-98

Great Scott

Hayley and Leo decide that they will go to the dance together. After sharing a passionate kiss before the dance starts, Leo helps Hayley put on her mother's necklace before she heads out to the dance. After they go to the dance, Hayley meets up with Alex and they both talk. Afterwards, Leo sings It Happened in a Moment towards Hayley. However, shortly after the song ends, Aspen runs through the door and kisses Leo, much to Hayley's surprise.

L.D.R

The day after the party, Hayley looks back at what happened after Aspen arrived. Hayley got into a food fight the night before and to blow off some steam, she goes and sits outside with Alex. But when she sits outside, she notices that Judy walks by and finds it strange. After she calms down, she goes back to the school and continues to taunt Aspen and Leo.

Season 2

Escape Mechanism

Hayley sarcastically tells Leo that he should be happy that Aspen came back and she acts fed up around him as she doesn't want to deal with a two-timer. Before Leo can continue, Hayley assures him that everything was cool, brushing off the fact that they had kissed, adding that sort of thing happened between friends and saying it was fine, Hayley then goes on to say that Leo had a girl-friend from London who could sing and who brought him cookies, promising Leo that it was all cool. Leo then asks for clarification as to whether she was mad at him, with Hayley saying no. Hayley then clarifies for Leo, telling him that at first she was a bit surprised to find out, but that in the end she got over it and that it wasn't a biggie, reaffirming Leo that everything was alright. Leo then asks whether they were cool, as Hayley assures him, with Leo then getting up and heading off. At night, Hayley is seen up against a wall sulking.

GHA-S2E02-102

The Client

Hayley helps her brother cope after losing Brooke. Hayley remarks that her brother should be happy that he didn't have to put up with her. At the greenhouse, the Ravens and the Eagles compete in a trivia game. Hayley and Jackie sit down next to each other. While Jackie dishes to Hayley that she would never win a game like this and that if she goes down, everyone goes down, Hayley tells her that she will do alright. They both then mock Aspen for acting like a self-centered brat. After Jackie gets a question wrong, Aspen tells him that it maybe a good idea to move Jackie so that she wouldn't ruin their streak, with Jackie agreeing with her. Hayley, in response cuts in defending her friend, guessing that Aspen learnt how to be rude at her school in London, adding that she bet that Aspen aced it in class. After Aspen is confused on a question, Hayley then says that they should move Aspen so that she wouldn't ruin their streak which causes all of the Ravens to laugh.

A Day Off

Hayley almost drowns in a whirlpool due to the earthquake that Judy and Marcus made. In that scene, she sees her mother, Ryan Woods. She then starts to wonder if her dad's suspicion was correct and that Ryan may still be alive. She then decides to go back to her home and meets her dad.

Meant to Be

Back at the beach, Hayley is still struggling in the ocean, just as Leo assures Hayley that he was on his way. Leo charges into the water and swims over to Hayley, putting his arm round her and getting her to continue swimming with him. As the two begin to reach the shallow waters, Aspen takes a rope out into the ocean for them. Leo then tells Hayley that she needed to keep swimming. In the Ravens locker rooms, Hayley is unlocking her locker, just as Aspen comes round the corner and asks her how she was. Hayley then just bluntly says that she was fine, before asking Aspen how she was. Aspen then responds by saying that she was fine, but that her hand hurt a little, before asking who cared about that, as the important thing was that Hayley was alright. In response, Hayley says that she never got the chance to thank Aspen for helping her, but Aspen tells her that she didn't need to do so, as she had done what anyone else would of in the same situation. Back at the beach, Hayley tells Alex about what she saw.

Surfing Lessons

Hayley visits Carter's house and she tells him about her experience with seeing her mother when she almost drowned. Hayley then says that she was indeed in water, but expresses that that was not the point, with the point being that she had seen her mother. Carter then asks where his daughter had seen her, with Hayley revealing it was in the water, adding that it was the strangest feeling and that she had actually felt like her mother was there. Hayley continues saying that while she knew that she used to get upset, when he would say the same sort of thing, but that then she kind of understood it. However Carter is quick to brush off his daughter's claims, expressing the fact that is was understandable that she'd have that sort of vision when being caught in a life or death situation, but Hayley then expresses that it had been more than just a vision, then pondering whether her mother was really alive. Hayley then goes inside her mother's room and tries her mother's things on. She then sees a weird nail on the top of her mother's dresser. She takes the dresser's mirror off and she finds a hidden safe behind it. Inside the safe, there is a phone number and a weird object. When she calls the number, Daniel picks up and tells her that it wasn't an ordinary phone.

The Workshop

Hayley meets up with Daniel Hayward at a bench. They both agree to start investigating this case. They both soon start to leave class with weird excuses which then raises suspicion among her brother, Alex Woods. Alex believes that Hayley and Daniel are dating while Sophie tells him that they would never. Hayley meets up with Daniel in the Biology Lab to discuss many things such as how their families tie in with each other. They then find that Marcus has all the answers so they break into his office and try to steal the chapter on dehypnotization in order to dehypnotize Brooke. However, Aspen Fairchild sees them together and sends a picture to everyone. Alex then finds out from Sophie and is very upset. Leo then gets suspicious of what is happening and Hayley tells him that she and Daniel are together.

The Spiral

Hayley and Daniel try to dehypnotize Brooke using a spiral. After sending her into Catatonic Shock, Marcus gives them the word to pull her out of it. Hayley then teams up with Max and Jackie to help solve Emma's disappearance.

More Than a Hunch

Hayley meets Max and Emma in the biology lab after the whole fiasco. After finding out that Marcus resigned, Hayley gets suspicious about what actually happened to him. Hayley then continues saying that Brooke had to act as if Judy was controlling her mind, with Jackie then adding that it'd best not to ask too many questions, as that would make Judy suspicious, with Brooke agreeing to do so. Hayley then suggests that they split up, as they didn't want to attract attention, stating that if Jason and Louis saw them hanging out together it may raise red flags for them. Jackie then asks Hayley for clarification as to whether they had to act like they couldn't stand one another, stating that that shouldn't be too hard. Jackie and Max then head off, with Daniel then asking Hayley and Brooke whether they should head off, but Brooke then suggests that she head off last.Daniel asks her whether she was sure, with Brooke assuring him that she was. Daniel and Hayley then head off, with Daniel then turning to Brooke and asking whether she was sure she could handle the situation because she didn't have to do it, if she didn't want to, but Brooke then reveals that she wanted to do it, then giving Daniel a hug, with him then heading off, as Brooke thanks Hayley. Hayley then adds that Brooke wouldn't be able to blame Daniel for what his mother had done and that he'd done everything he could, once he realized there was something not right. In response, Daniel then states that it may of been too bad that he had realized, before Hayley asks Daniel whether he really wanted to stay with Brooke in a hypnotized state.

A Born Leader

Leo gets held in the cave and finds out that Ryan is alive. He tells Hayley and she gets very happy. However, they needed to get Emma's chess set and so they use Brooke as bait to retrieve it.

GHA-S2E10-06

Kyle

Hayley asks Leo how he could of been so sure that her mother was actually alive, with Leo then re-iterating that Ryan was indeed alive. Hayley then attempts to get up to go and see her mother, but Leo is quick to stop her, telling her that she wouldn't be going anywhere. Hayley orders him to let her go, as it was her mother she was going to go see. However Leo then firmly tells her that she couldn't as it was too dangerous. Hayley then tells Leo that she wasn't afraid of the conspirators, with Leo then assuring he knew, before embracing for a hug. Leo comforts Hayley, assuring her that it would all be ok, as Hayley expresses her disbelief at the fact that her mother was alive, then saying that she had to tell someone about it, but Leo then reveals that he wasn't even meant to tell her about this fact and that if she were to tell someone else, her mother's life would be in danger, with Hayley then asking what she'd do next. However, Daniel then tells Brooke that he was done waiting around and that he'd be heading off. Just then Hayley and Leo arrive through the door, with Hayley walking up to her brother and telling him that there was something she needed to tell him. After having heard the news, Alex is in shock and disbelief. Alex tells his sister that it had been impossible for their mother to of been alive, but Hayley then points towards Leo, noting that Leo had seen their mother alive, with Leo then confirming this fact. Leo then explains that Marcus was going to wake Ryan, once they had managed to accomplish their mission. Alex then asks for clarification as to whether Marcus had known. Hayley later heads off, while in the computer lab, Max and Jackie are sat waiting in darkness. At the Woods household, Carter is still asleep on the couch, as Hayley attempts to call him. Outside Hayley makes her way to the Cave, while her mother; Ryan begins to wake in her chamber.

Bad Decisions

Hayley comes out from her hiding spot and manages to duck behind a nearby corner, just as Kyle approaches the magnetite. Marcus then uses the excuse that he had to go and check the servers, apologizing to Kyle and his men. Marcus then takes a deep breath and walks up to Hayley, asking her what she had been doing there, while expressing that she couldn't be. Hayley asks Marcus where her mother was, with Marcus then opening Ryan's secret chamber and telling Hayley to get in there, to which Hayley complies. Kyle then sees Marcus and tells him not to just stand round, as he had preparations he had to take, with Marcus expressing that it was best for them to go over the initial protocol. In the secret, chamber Hayley jogs in, only to find her mother's hospital bed empty. Just then Ryan comes out of the shadows, having noticed Hayley's presence. Hayley then recognizes her mother, before embracing for a hug. Hayley begins to cry, while telling her that she had missed her so much, with Ryan then asking her daughter how she'd managed to get where she was.Hayley then sits her mother down on the hospital bed, explaining that Marcus had brought her there, as her spacecraft had exploded. Confused, Ryan asks how it had happened, before Hayley reveals to her that it had almost been an entire year. Ryan then asks Hayley whether she'd really been there that entire time, with Hayley nodding her head and saying that she thought so. Ryan then looks at her daughter and calls her a sweet girl.

Home

Kyle sets up a bomb in the cave to kill Hayley and Ryan. Leo and Daniel come in at the right time and it is then figured out that the object Hayley found in the safe was actually a key to unlock the magnetite door. The boys get the bomb out in time and they both confess their feelings towards Hayley. Hayley hugs Leo while she kisses Daniel. When she goes home, she calls someone on her Louie and is very happy. The season ends with her opening the door to someone happily.

Season 3

GHA-S3-E1-07

The Hike

It is shown that the person behind the door is Daniel and that they are now dating. After Hayley goes on a hike with the rest of the school, things get heated between her boyfriend and her old ex. Afterwards because of this, Hayley moves to The Eagles to become a member after a fight with the rest of The Ravens but mainly Leo after wearing an Eagles sweatshirt. Leo starts to mock Hayley and shows hatred to Hayley after she switched teams. Becca also showed a little bit of the same emotion as well and blames Hayley for creating the fight between the two teams.

The Interrogation

Hayley gets mad at everyone after they agreed to keep what happened on the hike a secret. Hayley doesn't like this but she has no choice because of the vote. She ends up lying to her dad in order to protect Louis. After Sophie's statement, however, her father finds out that she and Alex lied and he gets very upset at her.

Your New Best Friend

Ryan becomes Louis' replacement at the Greenhouse. She asks Leo to tell her why Hayley moved to the Eagles. Just then Hayley storms in and tells her mom she wants nothing to do with Leo. Hayley starts living a new life as an Eagle and enjoys it while we can see Leo sulking over her.

Old Trophies

Hayley tries her best to fit in with the Eagles and adjusting towards a new lifestyle. Daniel and her go on a run together and Hayley tries to cheerlead the best that she can for the Eagles. Her mother forces her to return back to her Ravens lifestyle which causes Hayley to become upset and tell Ryan that it was her decision and that Ryan should have no say in what Hayley wants.

A Piece of Moon Rock

Hayley gets upset towards Brooke because of how she acted at the basketball game towards Alex. She tells the clubhouse that she was the main reason that they lost the game. Brooke gets very upset since no one wanted to believe her.

The Hidden Flag

The Beeps

Hayley hears a mysterious beeping noise in her house. She then gets curious about the sound and goes over to the cafeteria. Hayley then realizes that the sound came from the cave. Brooke and Leo both puzzled, ask Hayley what she is talking about. Brooke then explains to her that the noise came from her brother's room. When they walk in, they discover a secret room in Jason Osmond's closet that is linked directly to the cave. Hayley then brings in Daniel to show him this. Daniel and Leo both decide that they would both go and get rid of the noise. However, Coach Davies threatens to take Daniel off the team if he doesn't attend a practice. Daniel then goes inside which then prompts Hayley to take his place. When they reach the cave, they see a bunch of explosives. Hayley accidentally steps on the trigger and tells Leo to get out of the cave. As soon as Hayley makes a run for it, the cave explodes and collapses.

Season 4

Rock by Rock

Hayley's parents start a search to find Hayley. Leo is in a very bad condition and has black veins on his arms. Hayley then starts to have a dream inside the cave. In the dream, Hayley remembers all of the events that happened to her within her years of staying at the Greenhouse Academy but all of the memories are altered. In one scene, Leo hands Hayley a present. When asked what it was for, Leo mentions that it could save her life. Inside was a small mouse that Hayley saw in the cave. The mouse brought her to a lake so that she could drink water. The water managed to heal her and get rid of the virus that she had. She then followed the mouse to a hole in which she climbs up from.

The Quick One

Hayley climbs out of the cave and meets her family. She then promptly asks where Leo was in which her parents replied "At the hospital and not doing so well". She then comes into the hospital and meets Doctor Hovey. Doctor Hovey extracts her blood marrow and tries to save Leo. After Leo gets saved, Hayley comes in and looks at him in a way that she never looked at Daniel. Daniel sees this after he comes outside Leo's room.

A Not Totally Bad Person

Leo acts rude to Hayley after what Doctor Hovey told him. Leo then gets transported into a rehab center where he relearned how to do many things.

Gummy Bears

Hayley writes a letter to Leo. After handing it over to Becca however, Becca throws it out and doesn't tell Hayley. Daniel and Hayley go to watch a movie. During the movie, Hayley goes to the bathroom and at the same time her Louie beeps. Daniel opens the message to Leo asking for an apology for the way he acted. Daniel promptly deletes the message before she gets to see it and doesn't tell Hayley.

Cortinarius Orellanus

Daniel tries to tell Hayley about the message but fails to. Suzanne McGill tries to poison Hayley by cutting her foot. She successfully does so and Hayley falls right into her trap. Similarly, a fake doctor ( a person working for the client) cut Leo. They then grab poisonous bandages and apply it to their cuts. At night, Daniel tries to tell Hayley again but Hayley suddenly passes out.

Hundred Percent

Sophie takes off the bandage from Hayley's foot. She then seemed to be fine. Sophie believed that something might have poisoned her. She then finds out that something in fact did poison her. Hayley receives a message from Leo that seems suspicious. Hayley and Daniel both believe that something is wrong. Hayley then finds out that Becca never delivered her letter and asked Leo about it. "Leo" responded to it by saying that he liked it. Hayley and Daniel both get very scared and go to the rehab center.

Room 205

Leo tries to hide from the fake doctor before the doctor can do any harm. Hayley and Daniel both find Leo and save him. Daniel stops the car once they reached in order to gain access back into the Greenhouse. While Hayley and Leo are in the car, they confess their feelings towards each other and they learn that they didn't recive the message/letter. Just as they try to kiss, a car smashes into them.

The Client

Hayley and Leo find out that the person who smashed into them was Eric. Eric then kidnaps Hayley and Leo and he locks them up. He also puts a bomb right next to them. Luckily, Daniel finds them and he frees them while also pushing Eric off a cliff and taking off the bomb. Hayley, Daniel, and Leo arrive in time and take down the Client. In the end, Leo plans a trip back to the camping spot and Hayley switches back to The Ravens while also sharing a romantic kiss with Leo.
